DIESEL-U-MUSIC 2005
If you’re an unsigned DJ or producer be sure to enter Diesel-U-Music 2005.
It’s a great chance to get discovered and gain wider recognition for your music. Just look at previous Diesel-U-Music winners Mylo and Tom Vek (who collected awards in 2001 as State Trooper and Souvenir respectively).
In 2004, they both hit the big time. Mylo was DJmag’s 2004 artist of the year, and his debut album ‘Destroy Rock and Roll’ sold by the bucket loads.
Since last year, hip hop winner Aphletik has supported The Pharcyde, Ugly Duckling and Pharaoh Monche and recorded a killer track with Mercury Music Prize nominee Ty.
Electronic category winners for 2004, The Infadels, were signed by Wall of Sound on the day of the awards and are currently working on their debut album, which is set for release this summer.
The closing date for entries is May 30th. Judging, done by label partners with the assistance of media partners, takes place in June with the final awards ceremony in London in July.
